Bad News For Trump That’s Great For Democracy
With each passing day, it is becoming clear that as President, Donald Trump ... democracy but is also giving “democracy” a bad name.

Before we get into another week filled with the Trump regime’s madness, I’m happy to have a new edition of Great News for you. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and for all of your support. Also, Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! Let’s jump in.
GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene just announced she will not run for Senate against Dem Sen. Jon Ossoff in Georgia. This is great news—I’ve been investigating Greene for years, and I really can’t think of a worse person for the job. I’m so glad we won’t have to worry about dealing with her Senate race.
Dem Sen. Chris Murphy and Dem Rep. Maxwell Frost held a packed town hall in Sarasota, FL this weekend. “We’re going to districts where the Republican member of Congress refuses to meet with people,” Frost said. Murphy slammed Trump’s cryptocurrency, calling it “the most corrupt thing in the history of the United States.”
Meanwhile, Dem Sen. Ruben Gallego held a town hall in Bucks County, PA on Saturday—in a GOP-held district. Gallego said: “Now we have to go hunting to garage sales to find products—because this president decided to arbitrarily start a trade war without any concept how to get [the] F out of this.” That is the absolute truth.
A judge has temporarily halted Trump’s firings at federal agencies—for at least 2 weeks. Judge Susan Illston stated: “As history demonstrates, the president may broadly restructure federal agencies only when authorized by Congress.”
After learning that Trump would be attending a performance of the legendary musical Les Misérables at the Kennedy Center, at least ten cast members chose to boycott that evening’s performance. Good for them.
Former President George W. Bush was a no-show for a White House event honoring his mom, former First Lady Barbara Bush, where they unveiled a new postal stamp. Barbara Bush once wrote that Trump means “greed, selfishness, and ugly.” She also said: “I don’t understand why people are for him.”
Newark, NJ Mayor Ras Baraka struck a defiant tone on Saturday, saying his arrest “doesn’t stop the city’s” court case against the Geo Group—the corporation contracted to run the ICE detention center he was arrested outside of.
Baraka stated that all the Trump Regime does is “get on the media and they lie, and lie, and lie, and lie.” So true. And then corporate media just repeats the propaganda unchallenged, as if it were fact.
That’s why so many people have completely abandoned corporate media for independent news organizations.
